On Friday night, teams across the valley faced tough opponents, but they kept fighting and put points on the board regardless of who they faced.
In 8-Man football, the St. Ignatius Bulldogs took a hard loss, losing 26-50 to the Darby Tigers; the Arlee Warriors absorbed a dominating defeat, losing 6-32 against the Troy Trojans; and the Charlo Vikings also took a hard hit, losing 18-62 to the St. Regis Tigers.
In Class A, Ronan Chiefs faced a heavy defeat, losing 6-45 against the Loyola-Sacred Heart Rams. Polson Pirates had a bye week last Friday.

Arlee Warrior Football: 0-4
St. Ignatius Bulldogs: 2-2
Charlo Viking Football: 1-3
Ronan Chiefs Football: 1-3
Polson Pirate Football: 1-2

Grizzly bears cause havoc in Polson
Some young grizzly bears were caught swimming in Flathead Lake, and one wandered through Boettcher Park, causing chaos as officials worked to keep the public and the bears safe on Friday, Sept. 18.
