Clark Fork 3, Coeur du Christ 0 

CLARK FORK — In a battle of 1A North Star heavyweights, Clark Fork swept Coeur du Christ (25-16, 25-20, 26-24) at Clark Fork High on Tuesday night. 

The Wampus Cats were led by sophomore Vanessa Rogier, who totaled 16 kills on a .500 hitting percentage, which head coach Lyndsie Kiebert-Carey described as "absolute insanity." Clark Fork got another fantastic game from their setter, sophomore Kiylah Anderson, who racked up 32 assists and seven digs. 

"This whole season, we've been on a collision course with CDCA," Kiebert-Carey said. "They have beaten all the same opponents we have with nearly the same scores. Our emphasis tonight was on trusting our game plan and being the aggressors, and the team stuck to that."  

Two freshmen stepped up big time, as Grace Thompson totaled 11 kills, and Gemma Wood scored the game-winning ace in addition to seven digs. Wood was also perfect on serve and receive with no passing errors alongside junior Elyssa Raynor and senior Nora-Jean Hoy. 

Kiebert-Carey said the victory is a testament to the team's depth, with all girls on the roster able to contribute to the success.  

"Our 6-on-6 in practice is some of the most competitive volleyball I've ever coached, and it's our team on both sides of the net," Kiebert-Carey said. "It's not luck that these girls earned the sweep tonight and have earned a 10-0 record so far this season. They have a passion for this." 

With the victory, Clark Fork moved to 10-0 and 3-0 in league. Kiebert-Carey said it's the first time since 2022 that the Wampus Cats have won 10 games, when they finished 11-6. Clark Fork will play at Kootenai, in Harrison, on Thursday at 7 p.m. 

Kellogg 3, Priest River 0 

PRIEST RIVER — An improved performance by the Priest River Spartans wasn't enough to push them past the undefeated Kellogg Wildcats on Tuesday afternoon. 

The Spartans fell in a three-set sweep (20-25, 21-25, 13-25) in the Central Idaho matchup. Priest River was led by McKinley Burgess-Duquette, who led the team with three aces and seven kills, while adding 13 digs. 

Ava Griesemer followed Burgess-Duquette with five kills and had a team-high one block. Raygn Turner totaled a team-leading 19 digs against the Wildcats. 

"The girls have just improved in a matter of seconds," Priest River head coach Katlyn Ward said. "The hustle these girls had was insane. All over the court picking hits up." 

Next for the Spartans is another Central Idaho League game at Grangeville at 2:30 p.m.
