St. Ignatius Seniors: AARP drivers' course is Oct, 6

The St. Ignatius Senior Center center hosts an AARP Drivers Classroom Course, 1-5 p.m. Oct. 6. Call 406-745-4462 to sign up. Cost is $20 for AARP members and $25 for nonmembers.

Flu shots are available Wednesday, Oct. 7, from 4-5 p.m., followed by an evening meal at 5:30. Leigh Ann Johnson, RN, will be here to administer the shots. No need to sign up. Just show up and bring your insurance card; seniors should bring their Medicare/Part B card. No one will be turned away because of inability to pay. Questions, call 406-883-7288.

Bingo is Oct. 10 at 2 p.m.

Open Medicare enrollment starts Oct. 15 and continues through Dec. 7. Call Area VI Agency on Aging to schedule an appointment: 406-883-7284.

Stay well hydrated to keep your mind clear, prevent dizziness and falls, support kidney and digestive health and ease joint pain. Drink at least 6-8 glasses of liquid (water, seltzer, carbonated, teas and flavored waters) daily. (CSKT Public Health Department and CDC)

Everyone is welcome at our meals (young and old). Come enjoy a delicious meal and good conversation. If you want a take-out meal, please call 406-745-4462 by 10 a.m. on Tuesday and Friday and by 2 p.m. on the first and third Wednesday; lunch is served at noon Tuesday and Friday and 5:30 p.m. Wednesdays. Menus for the month are available in the entryway.

Main dishes for the upcoming week include taco salad with cantaloupe, Friday, Sept. 25; pork chops and mac ’n cheese, Tuesday, Sept. 29; and spaghetti, Friday, Oct. 2. 

Milk is available at all meals.
