EPHRATA — Drivers should expect delays at some intersections along Basin Street and lane diversions around town Tuesday as Washington Department of Transportation crews complete a project started earlier this summer.
Ephrata City Clerk Rob Miller said crews will be adding "skin patches" along sections of Basin Street that were repaired earlier this summer. Crews will start early in the morning and work throughout the day.
Skin patches increase the life of the asphalt, and Ephrata City Clerk Rob Miller said they smooth out the road surface and make the patching more visually appealing.
Also on Tuesday, WSDOT crews will be working at the intersections of First, Sixth and Eighth streets closed between Basin Street Southwest and C Street Southwest.
"There will be access to those streets from C Street Southwest, but not from Basin Street Southwest," Miller said.
