SANDPOINT — Creations is getting ready for its fall slate of activities.

Many of the events are STEAM centered — science, technology, engineering, mathematics and art, Creations officials said. Activities include educational art classes, drop-in art events and LEGO building.

Fall activities include needle felting, wet felting, painting, crafting and more. Art classes are available for all age groups, from preschool to adults to seniors.

Creations is open seven days per week.

However, organizer said the nonprofit's activities go far beyond art to include an indoor, educational play area with a tree house, a restored wooden sailboat and STEAM games and activities.

A LEGO build room is open to youth ages 7-18 with drop-in LEGO building, educational workshops, LEGO competitions, member LEGO kit lending library, and more.

Creations teaches educational art, creativity, and hands-on STEAM learning. This coming year, officials said the nonprofit is aiming to help fill the need for youth educational STEAM learning in Bonner and Boundary counties, offering educational classes, workshops, school field trips, LEGO challenge evenings, and summer camps.

Long-term program efforts include support for all educational art and STEAM learning in the region as well as support for "soft skills" such as taking turns, communication and more.

"Creations provides a community hub of creativity, gathering, and connection," Creations officials said, noting the nonprofits offers a "home" for social, creative, and educational activities in the community.
