Jane Sauter will stand for secure borders, rule of law

America has welcomed people who come here legally to build a better life, and legal immigration has strengthened our nation for generations. But a nation without secure borders cannot effectively protect its citizens or uphold the rule of law.

That is why I support Jane Sauter for Idaho House District 1A.

Jane believes America has both the right and responsibility to secure its borders and enforce immigration laws. Illegal immigration can place additional pressure on local resources, including law enforcement, schools, emergency services and other public services. It is also unfair to those who patiently follow the legal process.

Millions around the world are waiting to enter the United States legally. Our laws should mean something, and the legal process should be respected.

Strong borders also help protect communities from human trafficking, organized smuggling, and cartel activity.

We can be compassionate while enforcing our laws and welcoming legal immigrants.
