Matthee passionate about helping Idahoans

I am writing in support of the candidacy of Karen Matthee for Idaho State Representative District 1, Seat 1A.  

In the 4 years since Idaho has criminalized Doctors who perform procedures the number of OB/GYNs practicing in the state has fallen sharply. A recent study found that 94 out of 268 physicians have left the state since the ban has been in effect. About half of Idaho's 44 counties lack a practicing OBGYN resulting in less access and higher costs for preventative care for all Idahoans, not just pregnant women.

Karen is passionate in her desire to bring back the Doctors to protect the health of women as well as all Idahoans. As a journalist Karen has the skills to research issues, study the facts and to provide the leadership to find solutions.
