Richard 'Rich' Borghesi, 83

“Rich” Richard D. Borghesi, 83, of Post Falls, Idaho, passed away after a short battle with cancer Sept. 13, 2026, with his loving wife (Chris) by his side in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. He was born July 26, 1943, in Sacramento, Calif., to Pete J. and Edith M. (Teglia) Borghesi. 

Rich served his country in the Army from 1966 to 1968. Rich worked for UPS for many years before retiring from management. Rich had a son, Jason (Montana), whom he loved and cherished. His passion for golf brought him to Post Falls, where he met numerous people who became lifelong friends. He had an ability to always bring laughter into people’s lives through golf, cards and social hours. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Pete Borghesi and Edith (Teglia) Borghesi and his son, Gary Goodwin. He is survived by his wife, Chris Borghesi; his son, Jason Borghesi; and stepson, Richard Martin.
