Lisa Laycock

In loving memory of Lisa Laycock, 1964-2026. 

We're saddened to share that Lisa passed on Sept. 21, 2026. She battled cancer that was far too aggressive and passed at the age of 62. Her home in Libby was a peaceful place where she spent her last few years.

While there, she enjoyed the calm mornings with a cup of coffee alongside her husband, Jim, watching the sunrise. She treated the wildlife around her home with compassion. Making sure they were never short on water and peanuts. She was lighthearted, spunky and had a positive attitude. She looked forward to spending time with her grandchildren playing, doing art and finding cool rocks. 

She was crowned the title of “Crazy Nana” for all the shenanigans she got into with her grandkids and silly things she said. 

She will be lovingly remembered by husband Jim Laycock, children Jeremy Bachteler, Timothy Bachteler, Crystal Hays, Rob Laycock and Rick Laycock, 11 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, brother Darreld Bachteler and many other family members. We’re thankful for the precious memories made with her and glad she can now be blissfully pain-free in heaven.

A viewing will be held from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, 2026, at the Schnackenberg and Riddle Funeral Home in Libby, Montana. The memorial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 5, 2026, at the Schnackenberg and Riddle Funeral Home, followed by the procession to a short graveside service. We will hold a Celebration of Life directly after at her home.
