PRIEST RIVER — Sophomore Gretah Angle had 15 kills and three aces and senior Jordyn Stutzke had 12 digs for the Wildcats in a 25-20, 25-21, 25-13 in over the Spartans in a Central Idaho League match at Priest River High.
Senior Paige Yrjana had 11 digs and four blocks, junior Ella Yrjana 22 assists and 10 digs and freshman Valynn Visintainer four blocks for Kellogg.
“They have been our toughest competition so far and we rose to the occasion,” Kellogg coach Hollie Yrjana said. “We made adjustments and played smart as a team. We played our best volleyball yet.”

Kellogg d. Bonners Ferry
KELLOGG — Senior Paige Yrjana had 12 kills and 12 digs for the Wildcats in a 25-12, 25-16, 25-8 win over the Badgers at Andrews Gymnasium.
“It was a great all-around team effort tonight,” Kellogg coach Hollie Yrjana said.
Sophomore Gretah Angle had 13 kills and six aces, junior Ella Yrjana 25 assists, junior Hadley Bush five blocks and sophomore Lane Smith three blocks for Kellogg (9-0), which competes in the Sheridan-Welch Crossover Tournament this weekend in Spokane.

Kellogg at Crossover Classic SPOKANE — The Wildcats won their pool and qualified for the top (Gold) bracket at the Sheridan-Welch Crossover Classic.
In pool play, Kellogg swept Shadle Park 25-15, 25-19, Nooksack Valley 25-13, 25-17 and Eastmont 25-9, 25-22.
In the Gold Bracket, Kellogg lost to Lakeside of Nine Mile Falls 25-21, 30-28.
In the Gold consolation bracket, Kellogg beat Jackson and Freeman in one-set matches to advance to the consolation championship match, where the Wildcats fell to Glacier Peak 26-24.
“I’m very proud of the way our team played today,” Kellogg coach Hollie Yrjana said. “We played much higher volleyball than we have seen all season, and we grew a ton as a team. It was really fun watching our girls play this level of volleyball.”

SILVERTON — Junior Cooper Miller threw four touchdown passes, two to junior Lennox Radford and one to junior Blake Rose, for the Miners in a nonleague win over the Trojans at Sather Field.
Radford also returned an interception and kickoff for touchdowns Wallace.
Sophomore Ashton Holbert and senior Reece Williams also ran for a score for Wallace, which hosts Deary next Friday.
The Miners host Deary this Friday at Sather Field.

Darby rushed for 262 yards and three scores as a team.

KELLOGG — The Wildcats fell to 0-2 in Central Idaho League play with a loss to the Bulldogs at Teeters Field.
The Wildcats, who were battling injuries and other off field issues, struggled to move the ball against the Bulldog defense.
Kellogg will travel to Thompson Falls this Friday.
