Bigfork Eagle | UPDATED 5 days, 4 hours AGO
The Bigfork Playhouse Children’s Theatre's production of "Mary Poppins Jr." opens Friday, Sept. 25 at the Bigfork Center for the Performing Arts.
Join the Banks family as they discover magic and wonder again through the help of the one and only Mary Poppins.
Performances run Sept. 25 and 26 at 7:30 p.m., Oct. 2 and 3 at 7:30 p.m., and Oct. 4 at 2 p.m.
The Jack of all trades, Bert (Micah Butler), introduces us to England and the troubled Banks family who live on Cherry Tree Lane. The two children, Jane and Michael (Hayden Edwards and Grady Saechao), have sent many a nanny packing through hijinks and tom
foolery! That is before Mary Poppins (Ayla Wermer) flies to their doorstep. Using a combination of magic, music, and a healthy dose of compassion, she must teach the family members how to value each other again. How will she do it?
Mr. Banks (Ethan Stark) is a hard man raised by his nanny, “the holy terror,” Ms. Andrews (Eden Thompson).
Mrs. Banks (Amelia Gibson) seems at a loss as she sees her family fall apart! With the help of magical friends, such as Ms. Corry (Olivia Close), Mary Poppins takes the children on many whimsical and memorable adventures, but as she helps the children, you find it is the grown-ups who truly learn a lesson. Will the family bond together again or is it too far gone?
