Trotters spike Tigers and Scarlets

The Plains Trotters won both matches played last week, defeating the Darby Tigers 20-25, 25-9, 25-5, 25-17 in Darby Friday and downing the Arlee Scarlets in three sets Saturday in Plains.
At Darby, Hadyn Rice hit 11 kills to lead the Trotters at the net, Aubree Butcher added eight kills, six service aces and six digs, Claire Lakko a team-high 16 aces, 25 set assists, six digs and four blocks, Bri Kulawinski six digs and five set assists and Emery Josephson four blocks.
Coach Kim Lakko said serving was the key against Darby. “We had a phenomenal serving game,” she said. “The girls served consistent and tough.”
In the win over Arlee, Claire Lakko directed the net action with 21 set assists besides blocking four shots and hitting 12 digs for the Trotters, Butcher hit eight kills and eight aces, Rice eight Ks and nine digs, Kulawinski four aces, and Mila Rivinius five blocks.
