Alzheimer’s walk

The Bigfork Senior Center will take part in the Walk to end Alzheimer’s on Oct. 3 at Lawrence Park in Kalispell at 10 a.m.

Board of Adjustment

The Flathead County Board of Adjustment meets Oct. 6 at 6 p.m., 40 11th Street West Suite 200, Kalispell.

Blacktail Climb

The Blacktail Climb returns to Lakeside on Saturday, Oct. 3, bringing cyclists, outdoor enthusiasts and the community together for a day of climbing, riding and celebrating all things Blacktail.

Legislator open house

State Rep. Tracy Sharp of House District 12 will host open office hours on Friday, Oct. 9, noon to 2:00 p.m., at the Bigfork Library, 186 Bridge St. No appointment is necessary. Contact Sharp at [email protected] or call: 406-407-2197.

Tamarack Time

Bigfork’s community food competition and downtown tasting is Oct. 10.  Local cooks compete in 13 categories while the public follows the tasting trail through downtown and samples the entries for just $5.  Public tasting runs from 1-2 p.m.

Bigfork School Board

The Bigfork School Board meets Wednesday, Oct. 14 at 5 p.m. at the high school library.

Parent-teacher conferences

Bigfork Schools holds parent-teacher conferences on Oct. 30.

Somers-Lakeside School Board

Meetings are held on the third Monday monthly at either Somers School or Lakeside School.

Lakeside Library

Storytime is the first and third Tuesdays at the library at 10:30 a.m. Listen to some great stories and join in the craft. All children welcome with an adult.

West Shore craft night

West Shore Community Library hosts a craft night the second Tuesday of the month from 6-8 p.m. Free and open to all adults. 

West Shore Community Dinner

The free community dinner is on the second Friday of each month from 5-6:30 p.m. Meet at The Gathering Place in Lakeside.

Bigfork Senior Center

Hot lunch is served at 11:30 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Recommended donation for meals is $4 for seniors age 60 and over, $6 for non-seniors. 

Community meal

A free community meal is at Bethany Lutheran Church every Wednesday. Doors open at 5:45 p.m. The church is at 8559 Montana 35.

Lakeside Senior Lunch

Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11 a.m.-noon, at the Lakeside Chapel Gathering Place. To reserve a plate call Janice at 406-250-0148. $4 for 60 and older, $6 for anyone under 60.
