William 'Bill' L. Putman, 84

William Lee “Bill” Putman was born to Byer and Lois Putman on May 27, 1942, and went home to be with the Lord on Sept. 23, 2026.

Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Bobbi Putman; their five children and their spouses; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three beloved siblings and their spouses; and an abundance of friends whom he considered family.

Bill attended San Jose Bible College and graduated in 1966 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. After serving as a pastor for 10 years, Bill began working with the Church Planting Associations in 1976. Together, Bill and Bobbi devoted themselves to church planting and started 14 churches, sharing their love for Christ and their desire to see others come to know Him.

In 2002, Bill and Bobbi moved to Post Falls, where they continued serving at Real Life Ministries. Throughout his life, Bill was known for his creativity, his many ideas, and his deep desire to help others. He was the author of four books and was always looking for new ways to encourage, serve, and make a difference in the lives of those around him.

While Bill accomplished many important and valuable things, two things mattered most to him: his family and that people knew who Jesus was. His faith was not simply something he talked about; it was the foundation of his life and the message he wanted others to hear.

Bill would want everyone to know this: God loves you. He loves you, and He does not want to go to heaven without you. His life was a testimony to that love, and his legacy will live on in the many people he led to Christ, encouraged, served, and loved as family.

The memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026, at Real Life Ministries, 1860 N. Cecil Road, Post Falls, Idaho.
