Jim Brenden said a vehicle belonging to the city parks and recreation department was reported stolen Wednesday morning. It was quickly found a short distance away. "The one thing that's been consistent is the vehicles have been unsecured and keys were left in the vehicles … most are just taken and returned or dumped not too far away," he said. Owners are reminded to lock their vehicles.
