Bigfork

Two men were observed helping two women, who had been drinking, into a car at a casino on Montana 35 in Bigfork. According to the person who called Flathead County Sheriff's deputies, the men and women didn't know each other. Deputies arrived and arrested one of the men, 21, on a warrant for probation violation.

A U.S. 2 West resident

A U.S. 2 West resident called Flathead County Sheriff's deputies after discovering an arrow sticking out of her trailer house. She and the neighbor who accidentally shot it there worked it out among themselves.

Kalispell

Kalispell police arrested a 21-year-old man, who had been drinking, on Third Avenue West for partner assault after he allegedly hit his girlfriend in the face. He was also charged with felony criminal mischief for causing about $3,000 in damage to the residence.

Unload gun before you clean it

Flathead County Sheriff's deputies responded to Nelson Lane in Marion where a man shot himself through the hand. He reportedly was cleaning a handgun in the basement when it went off. He then drove himself to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and teacher, Patricia “Patti”, “Mom”, “Bee Bee”, Louise Edwards, 71, of Osburn, Idaho, passed away October 9, 2018, at Kootenai Health of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho; she bravely and courageously fought cancer four times. Patti was born on April 18, 1947 in Portland, Oregon; she was the daughter of Dewey and Helen Madison.

Veronica Irene Spotts, age 81, of Pinehurst, Idaho passed away on Friday, November 2, 2018 at Caldwell Care of Cascadia nursing home in Caldwell, Idaho. Roni, as she was known by family and friends, was born on October 31, 1937 in Corning, New York, to Michael and Helen (Bobrick) Bonik, and was the second born of three children. She graduated high school from the School for the Blind in Batavia, New York. Roni went on to graduate from Boise State University with a Master of Social Work.

BONNERS FERRY — Trustee Ron MacDonald provided an update on the Boundary County School District’s to-do list for summertime projects at Monday’s board meeting. Among the maintenance and repair tasks already completed are eight new energy-efficient windows for two classrooms at Boundary County Middle School, hallway maintenance, sidewalk improvements, a new drinking fountain and the purchase of a floor scrubbing machine.
