Former Bulldog playing in FCS semifinal game
Former Sandpoint football standout Erik Stoll will be in action when the University of Montana faces James Madison in an NCAA Football Championship Subdivision semifinal game today at 5 p.m., on ESPN 2. The winner will advance to the FCS championship game, which will be held in Chattanooga, Tenn., Friday, Dec. 19.

U18 Sandpoint Strikers head to compete in Idaho State Cup
The U18 Sandpoint Strikers take a team photo during the preseason. The Sandpoint Strikers are ranked No. 7 in the state of Idaho but will put their spot in the state standings on the line by competing at the Idaho State Cup, held in Boise from Friday, May 24 through Monday, May 27. The Strikers, which are in Bracket A,will kick off pool play against FC Alianza Pegasus (Nampa) on Saturday at 9 a.m. MST. After games against two pool opponents, the tournament assumes a double-elimination format that will begin on Sunday, May 26. Should the Strikers make it to the championship game, they will play at 9 a.m. on May 27.
