EPHRATA — The Ephrata Tigers opened the 2024 season with two wins on Saturday, defeating Orting and Quincy at home with scores of 3-1 in both outings. “We had great pitching in both of those games,” Ephrata Head Coach David Tempel said. “Our pitchers were able to minimize big innings from the other team in both games; we gave up an early run, and then they were able to settle in and all three guys played really great for us.”

Logan Health’s CycleMT event raises over $111,000 for children with medical challenges
Through the peer-to-peer fundraising efforts of each participant, and the support of sponsors including Town Pump, Glacier Bank, Stockman Bank, Summit Beverage, Altana Federal Credit Union and Glacier Electric, the March 2 event was able to raise over $111,000 to help children and their families, according to a release sent by Logan Health officials.
Legislative session proving unexpectedly busy
What started as a slow session has quickly become one of our busiest in recent memory. As of the end of last week, we have already introduced roughly 100 more bills than last year, with 140 more than last year being prepared by our bill drafting office. At the end of this week, the afternoon committees in the House have been closed down for bill introductions and any new bill proposals are required to be introduced by one of the privileged morning committees or by the Ways and Means Committee.
