The “Whitefish Review” will hold a reception for issue No. 7 at The Lodge at Whitefish Lake on Thursday, June 24 (today), outside by the lake under the tent pavilion from 7-11 p.m. Local author Laura Munson will read from her new book, “This Is Not The Story You Think It Is: A Season of Unlikely Happiness.” Issue No. 7 includes interviews with Munson and acclaimed author John Irving, along with recorded dialogue between Rick Bass of Missoula and Doug Peacock of Emigrant. Local student work includes an essay by Whitefish High School junior Stella Holt, as well as the winners of the Authors of the Flathead Student Writing Contest. The Whitefish Review is available in bookstores and online at
