BOISE (AP) - Lawmakers are taking up a plan to delay expansion of Idaho's grocery tax credit for one year to help balance the state budget in 2012, as recommended by Gov. Butch Otter.

Vehicle raffle has raised $700,000 for local schools
For several school years, the Kalispell Automotive Group has donated a new vehicle to Kalispell Public Schools. This past year, Kalispell Toyota, Kalispell Ford and Kalispell VW once again opened up the raffle to all Flathead Valley public schools, with the option of winning a new Tundra, new F150, or $30,000 vehicle credit. Since its inception nine years ago, the $10 per ticket fundraiser has helped raise over $700,000, directly benefiting participating schools and allowing them to pay for supplies, equipment, and activities.
