“What an unreal week it’s been,” said Palaniuk, the former Lakeland High and North Idaho College wrestler. “The very first Elite Series event I won (Bull Shoals Lake, 2012), they were dropping the water. It had dropped 7 feet in like two weeks, and I caught them on a deep crankbait. “The water has been dropping here for almost seven weeks and I’m catching a lot of them on a crankbait. The irony in that is incredible.”

NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS: Sealed bid proposals will be received: BY: BONNER COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR: BONNER COUNTY SATELLITE EMS FACILITY Ponderay, ID AS FOLLOWS: 1) General Construction Prime Bids for this project shall be received as follows: BIDS shall be due July 10th at 2:00 p.m., local prevailing time, at the offices of the Bonner County Commissioners, 1500 Highway 2, Suite 308, Sandpoint, ID 83864. Bids shall be submitted in a sealed opaque envelope, addressed to Bonner County Commissioners and shall be identified with the Project name and the Bidder's name and address. Bids received after the time and date for receipt of Bids will be returned unopened. Bidders are required to submit one (1) original bid including all required attachments. PRE-BID CONFERENCE: shall be July 3rd at 9:00 a.m., local prevailing time, at the Project Site, located at the southwest corner of Kootenai Cutoff Road and Moody Lane, Ponderay, Idaho. All General Contractors and subcontractors who intend to bid on this project are highly encouraged to attend this conference. Bids shall include all general, electrical, mechanical, plumbing and fire sprinkler work shown and/or specified, under one General bid proposal. 2) Bids shall be publicly opened and read aloud on July 10th at 2:00 p.m., local prevailing time. 3) Bidders are invited to attend the bid opening. 4) Plans and specifications, bid forms, forms of agreement, etc., may be obtained by bonafide general bidders, and bonafide mechanical, electrical and plumbing sub-bidders, upon deposit of plan deposit as follows: $250 per set, fully refundable. A maximum of two (2) sets will be checked out to bidders. The refundable portion of the deposit for each project will be refunded to the actual bidders upon return of the documents in good order within seven (7) days after the bid opening. Additional sets and partial sets will be made available to bidders and sub-bidders by paying cost of reproduction. Bidders requesting plans and specifications to be mailed/shipped will be required to pay a separate, non-refundable fee of $12 per set to cover the cost of shipping and handling. Meeting the Canadians on mutual ground

Relations between Canada and the United States have been at low ebb in recent years. What with differences over the invasion of Iraq and scraps over lumber and cattle, it seems important that folks get a chance to look each other in the eye once in a while and talk about mutual concerns. We shouldn't allow distrust and suspicion to overshadow cross-border friendships and the great deal we have in common.
