Intercounty Weed District #52 will be having their annual meeting on February 26th, 2013, 8:00 am to noon at the Royal Golf Course Clubhouse (13702 Dodson Rd S., Royal City). Agenda includes guest speakers with current information on weed control issues and Weed District #52 business. Recertification credits (3) for licensed applicators will be available.

OCTAVIAN RIVAS - 40 under 40
Octavian Rivas is a community development officer at Idaho Central Credit Union, where he has worked since 2016. He has elevated ICCU to be well-known in North Idaho. He has built a relationship with the community that is visible by many. Octavian has been through leadership training, he is a member of the Post Falls Rotary and alumni associations. He has also volunteered with the Second Harvest Mobile Food Pantry, Father Bill's Kitchen, Safe Start, the Boys and Girls Club and more.

Smartphone sales could go national soon
PARMA, Ohio - The Girl Scouts were selling their cookies the old-fashioned way, pulling a creaky-wheeled red wagon laden with Thin Mints and Samoas down a suburban street. But the affair took a decidedly 21st-century twist when, with a polite smile, one of the girls pulled out a smartphone and inquired: "Would you like to pay with a credit card?"

Little calls on state agencies to cut budgets by 3%
Executive order excludes K-12 public schools from the cuts
The Idaho Legislature during the 2025 session approved more than $400 million in anticipated annual revenue reductions from tax cuts and credits, and another $50 million toward a tax credit for private education and tuition costs. Most of those reductions will go into effect in the current fiscal year.
