Rail expansion supports economic activity in ID

Short line railroads are proven to be extremely efficient at moving Idaho goods to customers worldwide. I had the opportunity to join executives from Watco Companies, LLC; Burley Mayor Merlin Smedley; and other local officials in Burley to celebrate a major expansion of short line railroad service, a welcome step in bringing jobs and expanded economic activity to Idaho.
Glacier Institute has new home on Nucleus
The Glacier Institute is now calling Columbia Falls home. The nonprofit organization provides educational programs in Glacier National Park and the Flathead National Forest purchased the former Whitefish Credit Union on Nucleus Avenue late last year and started moving into the building last week, said executive Director Joyce Hassard.
Fund is established to assist Faulkners with medical bills
A fund to help pay the medical expenses for Patrick Faulkner, the 15-year-old Libby High School sophomore who was critically injured July 25 in a head-on accident on U.S. Route 2, has been established at Lincoln County Credit Union.
