Elected county leaders to receive pay raises
The Flathead County commissioners gave themselves and other county elected officials a 1.5 percent cost-of-living pay raise on Tuesday, effective when the new fiscal year begins July 1.

The facts on Proposition 1, ranked choice voting
As Open Primaries Boundary team leader, I am one of almost 2,000 grass-roots volunteers who have worked for almost a year answering voters’ questions about the proposed change that we have found is so popular with Idaho voters. I personally collected well over 300 valid signatures to support the measure, which shows why so many volunteers were able to get the required number of signatures.

A scruffy-looking man knocked down a blonde woman, but she turned the tables on him when she chased him down in her purple PT cruiser. When a Kalispell Police Department officer spoke to both of them later, they were told not to drive because neither had a valid driver’s license.

No. 2408 The City of Whitefish Fire Department (the "City") is accepting proposals from qualified Vendors ("Vendor") to provide ambulance billing, collection, financial reporting, and analytical services. This includes complete management of the billing process from receiving patient care reports to account closure. Minimum proposal specifications are enclosed. It is not the intent of the City to favor one vendor; however, we do, from time to time, rely on vendors' help in writing specifications. We will accept all proposals with exceptions to our specifications clearly noted, and all proposals will be given consideration. Proposals will be opened on Friday, January 26, 2018. LANSING, Mich. (AP) — A ballot group failed to collect enough petitions to put veto-proof legislation before the Republican-led Michigan Legislature that would prohibit a second-trimester abortion procedure, the state elections bureau said.
