NOTICE OF MITIGATED DETERMINATION OF NONSIGNIFICANCE The City of Royal City has issued a Mitigated Determination of Nonsignificance (DNS) under the State Environmental Policy Act Rules (Chapter 197-11 WAC) for the following project: Catholic Charities Housing II - Applicant is proposing a 3 lot plat consisting of one 3.77 acre parcel, one 1 acre parcel, and one 1.9 acre parcel. The applicant is proposing a development consisting of a 51 unit, 6 building multifamily housing facility on the 3.77 acre site, a separate application is proposing an early learning center on the one acre parcel and the remainder of the site to be used for future development that at this date is unknown. After review of a completed Environmental Checklist and other information on file with the City, the City has determined this proposal will not have a probable significant impact on the environment. Hundreds of thousands of pilgrims have been pouring into the medieval hilltop town of Assisi in Italy to venerate the Catholic Church's newest saint. Carlo Acutis, the first millennial saint, will be formally canonized on April 27. The boy, who died in 2006 when he was 15, lies wearing sneakers and a sweatshirt in a shrine in a somber Assisi church honoring St. Francis. For his mother, the church, and the pilgrims, Acutis shows how a regular teen of today's world can achieve holiness — and inspire devotion uncommon in youth like him.
