Harold Lester Savik passed away at his home in Plains on Dec. 20, 2025. His body is restored – fit and trim once again – and he has gone off to fish with Vicki alongside our Lord. A Memorial Celebration will be held at 4:30 p.m. June 11 at the Sanders County Fairgrounds Pavilion in Plains. Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. that day.

Why do stores lie to the public about recycling plastic bags? Some stores have plastic bag recycle bins, but I’m aware that in some cases, employees are told to throw the bags away. I’ve seen it. People drop them off with the impression they are helping the environment, but in fact it’s making it worse.
