A college wrestler from a small Wyoming school helped his teammate survive a grizzly mauling over the weekend by trying to wrestle the massive bear off his friend, eventually drawing a more brutal attack to himself.

Annual event adds up to financial literacy

More than 260 Lake Pend Oreille School District seniors attended the event, which aims to teach students financial literacy skills as well as give them an understanding of what budgeting in the future might look like.

STEM Academy students build disc golf extension for class credit
Students from North Idaho STEM Charter Academy were awarded a grant to fund an extension of Storm King, a 9 hole disc golf course. Students worked with volunteers including teachers, family, North Idaho Disc Golf Club and Inland Northwest Flyers to carve out trails, extensions and upgrade the course to an official 18 holes.
