I too am disgusted at the amount of people who seem to think it’s OK for them to take their non-service dogs (and other animals) in businesses that sell food. A few months ago when I was in a Post Falls business. I was rather aggravated at the presence of two separate parties with small dogs in the store at the same time. I noticed that both were carrying the dogs under their arms, looking forward so they could evidently enjoy the shopping experience. Imagine my surprise when I realized I had been (thankfully) successfully avoiding a trail of potty that was being deposited by the backside of the pooch I was following down the aisle.

Not long ago, Americans during the holiday season typically would visit locally-owned small retailers in a downtown area to purchase all of their gifts. Business owners would decorate their shops with lights and ornaments or create elaborate window displays to grab the imagination of a passerby and encourage them inside.
