Catch the Subway downtown
Business Bits
If all goes as planned, tomorrow is opening day for Coeur d'Alene's downtown Subway store. Moving from its old location on Northwest Boulevard, the new store is in 1,704 square feet of the new Plaza on Sherman in the southeast corner of Sherman Avenue at Seventh Street. A Senor Froggy's was there a few years ago. The 5,330-square-foot new building has room for two or three more occupants.

CHEERS: Visitors laud community
We were in Coeur d’Alene visiting our daughter over the Christmas holiday. On Monday, Dec. 23, we ended up visiting a number of different grocery stores in search of specific ingredients for some special dishes we were preparing for Christmas Eve. We were so impressed by how pleasant everyone we encountered was — from the grocery store clerks to the other patrons in the stores. I’m sure everyone else was just as busy and pressed for time as we were, yet everyone was kind and considerate. What a nice community you all live in!
