40 Under 40: Kevin Moran

Kevin Moran is a Community Development Officer at STCU in the Tri-Cities area, where he’s worked for nearly six years now. He also serves on the board of directors for the Tri-Cities Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, based in Pasco. Moran said he is a first-generation student. His parents didn’t go to college and he really wanted to make sure others had the same opportunities his parents worked hard to provide for him, despite not having a college background themselves.. “I kind of had to learn how to do the four-year college on my own,” he said. “My family, we didn’t come from much. We came from very humble beginnings and it taught me a lot of my work ethic, my virtues and models, and I just know that there’s plenty of kiddos and students here in our community that can benefit from a scholarship.”

Celebrating adoption in Idaho

Adoption provides opportunities to turn heartbreak into love and growth for Idaho children in need of a loving home and the families who are blessed with their additions. According to the Children’s Bureau, an office within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, 353 children were adopted from foster care in Idaho in Fiscal Year (FY) 2020.
