Bulldogs hold off Homedale for Homecoming win
SHS takes home the W despite strong showing by Trojans in second half
SANDPOINT - As the Victory Bell on War Memorial Field rang following Sandpoint’s win over the Homedale Trojans Friday night, Coach Ryan Knowles breathed a sigh of relief and admitted that the end of the Bulldogs’ homecoming game was a little too close for comfort. “Very scary!” he said of the last-minute push by the visiting team. “But we have to give ourselves credit because we found a way to get it done.” Giving a packed homecoming crowd one heck of a show, a strong early game performance by the Bulldogs proved to be enough for a 28-21 win. “I’m really happy with the way we came out and jumped on them early,” Knowles said. “That’s a good team that had to travel and that’s how that works out to that (early) 14-0 run.”
Mark Wick's reply to Rob Quist's tax liens
Recently it was discovered that Rob Quist had tax liens filed against him by the State of Montana and it was turned into political fodder. I am not going to condemn Mr. Quist. Like many working Montanan’s not everything has gone as planned in his life. Sometimes no matter how you plan the world just doesn’t cooperate. Unexpected bills can happen at any time and expected payments usually are farther away than anticipated. Welcome to the real world folks. This is where most working Montana families live all the time.

Health center
The Nov. 16 article on the HD9 race stated Joe Russell (Flathead County Health Dept Director) and I were "putting in for a grant" for a community health center. I am one of many people helping and my role is minor as a steering committee member advisor focusing on the dental clinic portion. We often see political people get credit for others efforts and the major lifting on this project is being done by the County Health Board, County Staff, and many others.
