This was a very busy weekend on the Columbia River, particularly between Rock Island and Rocky Reach Dams. The 2nd Annual CCA Wenatchee Salmon Derby had anglers running up and down the river from dawn till weigh-in time, trying to catch a winning fish.

Their constitutional was rudely interrupted when a man showed up and reportedly started taking pictures of her, chasing her and scolding her saying,“I am tired of you g-------- people bothering my cows,” according to a report from Flathead County Sheriff’s Office.

Eventually, Ponderay and NIICE hope to add an additional indoor facility at the Field of Dreams that includes a full-size hockey rink capable of hosting competitive games at every level. A venue like that would allow the complex to hold sports tournaments that bring athletes and spectators to the area — and an economic boost from their food and lodging purchases.
