Ruth E. Ross, 87
Ruth E. Ross, 87, passed away Thursday, Aug. 26, 2010, at her Kalispell residence. Ruth was born April 15, 1923, in Lodi, Calif., to Emmett and Molly (Jeffries) Frost, and was raised in the Turlock, Calif., area. Ruth married Raymond Ross on Aug. 3, 1940. She had been married for 58 years. Ruth was one of the first women to be hired by the C & C Lumber Co. She worked there for five years, and was later employed at Dee s Drapery Shop with her sister Caroline Bland. Ruth loved gardening and flowers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; her parents; three brothers, and two sisters. Ruth is survived by her son, Ray Ross, and daughter, Wanda Lemonds, both of Kalispell. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. today, Aug. 31, at Glacier Memorial Gardens. A celebration of life service will be held at 4 p.m. at the New Life Center, today also. Friends are encouraged to visit the website, www.buffalohillfh.com, to leave notes of condolence for the family. Buffalo Hill Funeral Home is caring for the family.
