A school for the future

While visiting Moses Lake this week my brother in-law, Rick Koba, suggested I might be interested in seeing the new C. V. Tech since I am a District administrator in Phoenix, AZ. I was extremely impressed and amazed by what we saw. Principal Armstrong welcomed us and gave us a wonderful tour of the facilities. The facility was both technologically and esthetically remarkable. I was impressed by how environmentally friendly the physical plant was and how well equipped each and every learning space was. Classrooms are equipped with state of the art technology and equipment I had only seen in movies such as 3-D printers. The kitchen is a chef's dream and while I am not very knowledgeable about heavy machinery it seemed students will be able to learn a trade using a shop that resembles real life worksites. What a tremendous asset to the community, students as well as future employers. It appears as t! hough in planning the school every detail was studied and accounted for using both internal expertise as well as input and assistance of local businesses. The school is truly a school for the future!
