Spokane County declared a public health emergency Friday afternoon and confirmed two new COVID-19 cases as neighboring Stevens County reported its first positive test in a person who is hospitalized with pneumonia.
Washington’s number of confirmed COVID-19 cases eclipsed 1,000 and deaths due to the disease reached 52 Tuesday afternoon as the presence of the novel coronavirus was confirmed in all 50 states and Washington, D.C.
