There was an interesting story from the Livingston Enterprise last week about a middle school teacher who started the Apostrophe Protection Society of Southwest Montana. She contacts local businesses who are misusing apostrophes, either on their signs, mass mailings, advertisements or other forms, and attempts to get the mistake corrected.
We hope plenty of folks got to enjoy the divisional basketball tournament last week in Ronan. It was competition and school spirit at its best, and the Ronan Event Center was the perfect spot.

The news was devastating — more than 150,000 dead after an earthquake and resulting tsunamis struck different Asian countries, India, and parts of Africa. Even to journalists accustomed to dealing with issues of human tragedy, the number is staggering.
