COVID-19 is having a detrimental effect on all portions of the community, including pet shelters. Many are reporting that they are seeing a lot of strays and drop-offs due to people either not being able to feed their pets or worried they can catch the virus from their animals.
The staff at Adams County Pet Rescue encourages pet owners to check collars and harnesses. Not too long ago, they got a male German shepherd in that had a collar that was too tight.

Adams County Pet Rescue seems to suddenly be overrun with new puppies. Just two weekends ago, they took in 17 of the little ones, most of which are still being nursed by their mothers as they were only 3 weeks old when they came in.
