All recreationists, fishermen, hunters, boaters and all businesses that deal with recreation and tourism need to be aware of an initiative in the works that could change the Flathead’s waterway uses.
Recently I was ice fishing Smith Lake west of town. It was a Sunday and there was an abundance of families enjoying the ice. There were kids being pulled on sleds, and snowmen being built, hot dogs cooked over barbeques and shouts of joy when a fished was hooked.
Being born and raised in the Flathead, I enjoyed the Inter Lake’s article on the Erickson and Bishop families’ stories of growing up in Evergreen and the fun they had swimming and fishing in Spring Creek years ago.
