With our city elections next Tuesday, this is my final letter on the City Hall issue. I want to show you how much this city council is spending per man, woman and child and compare it to other cities selected from the largest 20 in Montana.
My name is Richard Atkinson, a.k.a. Old Man Walking, and I brought forth a petition for a ballot initiative to let the people of Whitefish vote on the $14.95 million monstrosity called our City Hall and parking garage.
When I "created" Old Man Walking in September, I really didn't think through the idea of walking six kilometers a day for 151 consecutive days, ending on my 70th birthday, nor did I have any idea of what the public reaction would be.
