Lincoln County Sheriff's deputies arrested a Washington man near Troy Tuesday morning on charges of sexual assault and sexual intercourse without consent, both felonies, according to Lincoln County Sheriff's Lt. Detective Jim Sweet.

Zachary James Booker, 18, of Seattle, is being held at the Lincoln County jail until he appears in justice court. No bond has been set.

According to a Sheriff's Office press release, deputies responded to a report of an attempted rape of a 17-year-old girl at 2:30 a.m. on Old Highway 2 north of Troy.

The girl was with three adults who were in Troy for a family gathering.
