COEUR d'ALENE - After knocking off city rival Lake City on Tuesday, the Coeur d'Alene Vikings continued their momentum Thursday, sweeping the Sandpoint Bulldogs 25-19, 25-22, 25-14 on senior night at Elmer Jordan Court.
Kayla McGlathery had 12 kills and seven blocks for Coeur d'Alene (18-10), which lost in five at Sandpoint two weeks ago. Megan Ramseyer had 16 assists and two aces, Ashley Hammons 12 assists, Amy Norris eight digs.
For Sandpoint (19-8), Hannah Neumann had 11 kills, Maddi Russo 13 digs, Kennedy Search 11 assists.
"We played an all-around consistent match," Coeur d'Alene coach Dee Pottenger said. "It was a great way to honor our seniors and the season they're having."
Coeur d'Alene plays Lake City on Saturday at noon at Booth Hall in Lewiston in the first round of the 5A Region 1 tournament.

COEUR d'ALENE - Kaity Widmyer had 15 assists for the Timberwolves in a 25-21, 25-17, 25-14 win over the Bears in a nonleague match.
Kylie Curtis had eight kills, three assists and three digs, Natalie Taylor six kills and Kasey Widmyer five kills, five digs and three assists for Lake City (15-4), which faces Coeur d'Alene in the opening round of the 5A Region 1 tournament on Saturday at noon in Lewiston.
Post Falls splits
in tri-match
RATHDRUM - Danielle Failor had 10 kills and three blocks as Post Falls beat Lakeland 25-19, 25-11, 25-17 in a nonleague match at Hawk Court.
Brenna Meehan had 33 assists and nine digs and Sydney Wiggins four aces for Post Falls, which lost to Priest River 25-19, 24-26, 20-25, 25-22, 15-12 in an earlier nonleague match.
Failor had 16 kills, Meehan 25 assists, Natalie Sarff five blocks and Brooke Litalien 17 digs against the Spartans for Post Falls (14-21), which plays at Lewiston for the opening round of the 5A Region 1 tournament on Saturday.
Against Post Falls, Kacie Derby had two kills and three blocks and Erin Odgen 10 digs for Lakeland, who also fell to Priest River 25-22, 25-17, 25-15.
Kayla Fahlenkamp had four kills and Kelly Ramus six kills for Lakeland (2-19), which opens the one-day 4A Region 1 tournament against Moscow at Sandpoint next Saturday.
For Priest River (17-7), Melissa Trost had 12 kills, Karly Douglas 16 digs, Taryn Eldore 30 assists against Lakeland. No Priest River stats were reported for the Post Falls match.

PLUMMER - Francine Hendrickx had 18 digs and seven aces for the Knights in 25-22, 25-11, 25-18 nonleague win over the Panthers.
Analesha George had 17 digs and two blocks, Sierra Shamburg 11 digs and three assists and Ruth Haynes six blocks, six kills and five digs for Lakeside (9-4), which hosts Wallace in the 1A Division I District 1 championship match on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
"I thought our girls moved exceptionally well tonight," said Lakeside assistant coach Karyn Stockdale, who filled in for coach Jan Mitchell, who was out with the flu. "They came in pumped up for senior night and played extremely well as a team."
Lexi Young had three kills, Millie Schnebly two blocks and Tayler Petticolas three digs for Coeur d'Alene Charter (2-12), which travels to Orofino for a Central Idaho League tri-match with the Maniacs and Grangeville on Saturday.

Kootenai
MULLAN - Kami McKinnon had 17 kills and four blocks as the Tigers beat the Warriors 25-15, 25-21, 20-25, 25-22 at the Mullan Pavilion to clinch the North Star League championship.
Charli Sadler had 19 assists and three aces for Mullan (12-1, 7-1 NSL), which last won the league title when they shared it with Clark Fork in 2002.
"We started strong, came out strong and hard," Mullan coach Dawn McKinnon said. "We got a little scrappy. We'd been serving well all season, then missed 13 serves tonight which almost hurt us."
Brie Benson had 16 kills, Ellison Schultz 21 assists and three blocks and Megan McGuire three aces for Kootenai (3-10, 1-7), which travels to Clark Fork on Thursday for a semifinal match in the 1A Division II District 1 tournament.
Thursday's winner travels to Mullan on Saturday at noon for the championship game and the lone berth to the state 1A Division II tournament.
