A 77-year-old man has died in a two-vehicle crash on icy U.S. Highway 2 southwest of Kalispell.

Flathead County officials say Roy Bumgarner of Libby was eastbound at 11 a.m. Wednesday when he lost control on the icy road and crossed into the path of a westbound pickup truck just west of Kila.

The Montana Highway Patrol says Bumgarner died at the scene. Three other people were taken to the hospital, but their conditions were not immediately available.
