Former manager: I didn't act alone on accomplishments

Please accept this brief response to a letter to the editor to clear up a misperception that I should be credited individually with accomplishments made in Kalispell.

Kalispell’s fiscal recovery was a team effort that could not have been achieved without a dedicated team of municipal employees or, just as important, a fully engaged City Council headed by a strong and supportive mayor.

Much like a quarterback, Mayor Tammi Fisher worked diligently with her council teammates to provide the legislative support necessary to remedy and rebuild union relations; intergovernmental partnerships and, the initiation of renewed talks between rural fire districts and the city’s water enterprise fund.

No one can create municipal change alone. It takes a team and Mayor Fisher was the legislative leader during a time that Kalispell’s team made some very positive change for the city as well as the greater Kalispell community.
