Shea Dretke had 10 kills, four blocks and six digs, Jacquelyn Mallet six digs, two aces and six kills and Kiara Hauck 15 digs for Timberlake (8-15), which advances to a state 3A tournament play-in match on Saturday in Grangeville against the third-place team from District 3 (Boise) starting at 5 p.m.

Lily Luckey had 21 assists, Katlyn Summers 10 kills and eight blocks, Molly French 13 digs and Heidi Jahnsen two aces for Priest River, which finishes 10-9.

LEWISTON - Brittany Gay had 26 assists and one block for the Timberwolves in a 25-17, 25-23, 25-10 loss to the Bengals in the 5A Region 1 tournament second-place game at Booth Hall.

Natalie Taylor had 12 kills and two aces and Clarissa Smith nine digs for Lake City, which finishes 17-11.

Lewiston (29-3), which has won the last two state championships, advances to a state play-in match on Saturday against Eagle (15-3) in Grangeville.

Lakeland

MOSCOW - The Bears beat the Hawks in straight sets in a loser-out game in the 4A Region 1 tournament at Bear Den.

Lexi Black finished with four kills and four blocks, Brooklyn Bunch 10 assists for Lakeland, which finished 5-17.

"It was one of our best blocking matches all season," Lakeland coach Kylee Garitone said. "The girls fought really hard. It just boiled down to we had a lot more unforced errors than Moscow."

Moscow will play at Sandpoint on Saturday in a best-of-3 tournament to advance to the state 4A tournament, which begins next Friday at Kimberly High.
