PREP GIRLS BASKETBALL: Asper, McLean spark Post Falls
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 2 years AGO
LEWISTON — In case anyone wondered, the Post Falls Trojans are more than just Central Washington University-bound Capri Sims.
Letti Asper scored seven of her nine points in the first quarter, and Kinlee McLean scored 14 of her 16 points in the first half as Post Falls ran away from the Lewiston Bengals 71-49 in Inland Empire League play Thursday night.
McLean hit four 3-pointers in the second quarter for Post Falls (17-0, 5-0 IEL).
“It’s good to have a good supporting cast,” Post Falls coach Brian Hall said. “The hardest worker was Letti Asper. She may have only scored nine points, but she was all over the boards, and I think she had seven steals.”
Sims finished with 17 points, Brooklyn Brennan 15 for the Trojans, who play at Lake City on Tuesday.
Zoie Kessinger hit four 3s and scored 20 points for Lewiston (5-10, 2-4).
