Whitefish City Council on Monday will consider a request to develop a small subdivision on Colorado Avenue.
It’s the only public hearing before Council, which meets at 7:10 p.m. at City Hall, 418 E Second St.
The Apres Village is requesting a preliminary plat to create a 16-lot subdivision at 817 Colorado Avenue on about 3.8 acres.
The property is undeveloped and zoned WR-3 low density multi-family residential.
The lots would be sized to accommodate either single-family or two-family units. The application indicates that the subdivision will be only single-family with a gross density of 4.17 units per acre.
A 14,200-square-foot homeowners park located in the southeast corner of the neighborhood is part of the project and meets the city’s requirement for parkland.
The subdivision would be accessed off Colorado Avenue with a newly constructed public right-of-way.
The subdivision is not seeking any variances and therefore the project was eligible for expedited review. Thus, it did not go before the city Planning Board.
