WASHINGTON – In this week’s state golf tournaments, nine Basin golfers qualified for Round 2 of their respective tournaments, including four with top-15 finishes.
2A Boys
Ephrata Boys - finished sixth as a team with 54 points.
Ephrata’s Kenji Pickeral - shot 77 in Round 1, 74 in Round 2; 151 total, 14th place.
Ephrata’s Carter Burns - shot 80 in Round 1, 78 in Round 2; 158 total, tied-26th place.
Ephrata’s Max Hewitt - shot 80 in Round 1, 78 in Round 2; 158 total, tied-26th place.
Othello’s TJ Murdock - shot 81 in Round 1, 85 in Round 2; 166 total, 36th place.
2A Girls
Ephrata’s Jayme Dwight - shot 80 in Round 1, 78 in Round 2; 158 total, tied-eighth place.
Othello’s Mariah Murdock - shot 82 in Round 1, 91 in Round 2; 183 total, tied-24th place.
2B/1B Boys
Lind-Ritzville/Sprague’s Hunter Dinkins - shot 88 in Round 1, 87 in Round 2; 175 total, 22nd place.
2B/1B Girls
Almira/Coulee-Hartline’s Naomi Molitor - shot 90 in Round 1, 85 in Round 2; 175 total, fourth place.
Warden’s Lauryn Madsen - shot 99 in Round 1, 97 in Round 2; 196 total, tied-11th place.

Youth basketball camp set to be held in Quincy
QUINCY — A youth basketball camp being held in collaboration between Royal Hoops Basketball and Quincy Youth Basketball is set to be held July 11 at Quincy High School. The camp will be open to boys entering 3-5 grade and girls 6-8 grade.
Soaring Eagles basketball tournament set for July 4
SOAP LAKE — The annual 3v3 Vape Awareness Basketball Tournament has opened registrations for teams to sign up for this year’s competition. The tournament is once again brought together by the Soap Lake Prevention Coalition and the many sponsors from around the area with the goal of bringing awareness to vaping and its effects on youth and athletes.
Sage N Sun 3v3 basketball returns this weekend
EPHRATA — The Ephrata Parks and Recreation Department is once again hosting the Sage-N-Sun 3v3 Basketball Tournament this weekend during the Sage-N-Sun festival. Signups were open through May 31 for teams across four age divisions, according to Ephrata Parks and Recreation.
