CHENEY — Eastern Washington battled Utah Tech to a 1-1 draw at home, with Maya Bossenbrook scoring the Eagles' goal and Payton Hyde delivering a 12-save performance in net, according to EWU Athletics.

Reese Kincaid and Mira Scarsella each recorded an assist on Bossenbrook's second-half goal. Noelle Raczykowski led Eastern's attack with four shots, placing three on goal, while Mia Miconi and Scarsella added three shots apiece. The Eagles finished with 16 shots and nine on goal.

The two sides played to a scoreless opening 45 minutes, with Hyde anchoring the Eastern defense. Raczykowski generated the Eagles' first shot on goal in the 11th minute, while Miconi later put an attempt on frame in the 31st. Raczykowski followed with another shot on goal in the 34th minute as Eastern began to find more opportunities going forward.

Hyde kept the match level throughout the opening half, making several key stops as the Eagles withstood pressure. Eastern earned its first corner kick in the closing minute of the half but could not capitalize, sending the match into halftime tied at 0-0.

Eastern came out aggressively after the break, with Raczykowski forcing a save in the 50th minute before Miconi put another attempt on goal in the 58th. The Eagles continued to apply pressure, with Ella Hyde having a shot blocked and Scarsella forcing a save following a corner kick in the 59th minute.

The pressure paid off moments later. In the 60th minute, Kincaid and Scarsella combined to set up Bossenbrook, who finished into the bottom-left corner to put Eastern in front, 1-0.

Eastern continued searching for an insurance goal as the second half progressed. Scarsella added another attempt before Delaney Deckett put a shot on goal in the 72nd minute. The Eagles earned an opportunity to double their advantage from the penalty spot in the 76th minute, but Deanna Montero's attempt was saved.

Hyde continued to protect the advantage on the other end, making several second-half saves to keep Eastern in front. Utah Tech eventually found the equalizer in the 86th minute to level the match at 1-1.

The Eagles made one final push for the game-winner, with Raczykowski recording a shot in the 89th minute, but neither side found another goal before the final whistle.

Eastern hits the road for its final two regular-season matches, beginning against Montana on Thursday, Oct. 29, at 2 p.m. The Eagles then travel to Portland State on Sunday, Nov. 1, at 1 p.m.
