SEATTLE — The Gonzaga Bulldogs will match up against the UConn Huskies in the Continental Tire Seattle Tip-Off this December, a rematch of the 2023 Elite Eight from the NCAA Tournament, Gonzaga Athletics announced Tuesday.

This will be the seventh time that Gonzaga and UConn have met, with the Huskies winning the previous contest 82-54 over the Bulldogs in March, outscoring Gonzaga 43-22 in the second half.

UConn leads the all-time series 4-2, though the two teams have traded wins in the previous four meetings; Gonzaga won a 73-70 game in the Bahamas in 2015, UConn won 88-83 in Seattle in 2008 and the Bulldogs won 85-82 in Boston in 2007.

The game, hosted at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, tips off at 7 p.m. Dec. 15 and will be televised nationally on ESPN2.

"The Pacific Northwest is a basketball-crazed region that has played host to some of the top college basketball talent in recent years, and we're excited to help continue that tradition this season," said Mark Starsiak, the vice president of basketball at Intersport, the company managing the event.
