At China Culch in Cedar Creek, visitors were greeted by Ah Hoy (Shirley Iwata) with a living history presentation of the role that the Chinese played in the gold rush. A tour of the Chinese ovens that remain in the hillside was given by Ah Hoy as she explained the brutal living conditions during winter months.
